JUDY BURKE
Clay Artist
A Minnesota transplant to Colorado in 1972, Judy Burke calls Glenwood Springs, Colorado home. Judy was introduced to the kick-wheel in 1980 and found making pottery was something she enjoyed. In 2014, she retired from teaching and nursing to have more time to pursue ceramics.

Learning from Colorado Mountain College professors and seminars, Judy eventually built a home pottery studio where she can be found more often than not, throwing pots, hand building and experimenting with her own glazes.  She focuses on functional pottery, believing art is something that should be used every day.
