Watercolor, Encaustic, Oil, Cold Wax
Watercolor and acrylic are the mediums that I love using to express my creativity. An
artist for well over half a century, my favorite subjects have always been people, flowers
and animals that are fanciful and colorful.
Over the years I have enjoyed teaching watercolor to beginning and intermediate adult
painters. It is always fun to watch students learn to love painting and playing with
different techniques and mediums as much as I do.
I was formally trained at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania. I have taken many workshops from wonderful painters and sculptors from
across the country including Mary Whyte, Sarah Peterson, and Lisa Clague.
I am very happy to be a member of the Cooper Corner Gallery in Glenwood Springs . My
work can also be seen at Midland Arts Company in Rifle and in other local venues.
I continue to learn from the amazing community of artists that live and work in this
valley. Most days I can be found working in my studio in Rifle, Co.
